Cecilia is the newest addition to the Watts Didier family. She is currently working towards obtaining her professional Architecture degree from Louisiana State University. During her time at LSU, Cecilia has been awarded the LSU Black Scholar award for the past three years and has recently been one of five winners for the 2017 National Letterman’s Competition for a memorial design here in Baton Rouge.
For Cecilia, Architecture is about community driven design practices and is an outlet for growth. By nature, she is an artist and a designer; but more than anything, a lover of people and her goals have always been to improve the quality of life for those around her.
Cecilia, without question, demonstrates hard work and dedication through her school work and her community. To Cecilia, being connected to the community is very important in understanding the unique architectural needs of a place which helps to create spaces that can facilitate new thinking and promote social engagement. Cecilia enjoys travelling and will take part in studying abroad in Rome this fall; She is an active participant in community and church gatherings; and she greatly enjoys music, crafting, and wood working. She has even become pretty handy in furniture design during this last semester!
